"Greatest Hits USA" with Rick Williams

    Rick Williams 2

In 1969, Rick was bitten by the music bug by listening to Dan Ingram on WABC in New York at the age of 9. By 1972, he was starting to amass his record collection. (First Record was “Popcorn” by Hot Butter!) In his early teen years, his Rick and friends ran a Part 15 Radio Station in their neighborhood with the girls from the block singing our jingles. That’s how it all began, this is what it is today... Welcome to Greatest Hits USA!

Surf 1700 AM Welcomes Dave The Rave And His Relics & Rarities Show

    Dave "The Rave" Kapulsky

There are plenty of "oldies but goodies" shows on the radio that like to countdown the hits. Dave the Rave's Relics and Rarities Show doesn't count down anything. Most of the tunes played on Dave's show are not focused on the same repetitive oldies that placed in the Top 20. Dave combines the cool hits with many songs that never, although could have and probably should have hit the Top 40. Dave is giving these great tunes the second chance they never received.

    Capt. Nick

Surf 17 welcomes Capt. Nick as part of our on air DJ personalities. The Capt. specializes in Trop-Rock which is the music made famous by musician Jimmy Buffet. Nick is a walking encyclopedia of this style of music. For this reason, he was chosen to spin the cool beach sounds here on our station.

He is also a singer, songwriter, musician and performs this style of tropical tunes on a daily basis. He and his wife Dana reside in the little seaside town of Flagler Beach, FL., which is the inspiration for many of his original songs.
