It's Time To Get Tropical with "The Island Time Radio Show" Sundays 12 PM
Please welcome Island Time Radio to Surf 17 on Sundays from 12 noon until 2 PM here on Surf 1700 AM.
Island Time radio is all about the music and laid back lifestyle of parrotheads and or trop rock fans. Jimmy Buffett started it ...all in the 70s, but this music has grown by leaps and bounds since. We showcase trop rock every week on the show.

DJ Tim Baker
Tim Baker was born and raised in Rhode Island. He was exposed to music at an early age thanks to his hippy, older brothers and was the only kid in the third grade to know who Creedence Clearwater Revival was and what Woodstock meant. His musical influences started with the Beatles and the music of the 60s and then progressed through Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd and such in the 70s. Although he loves all forms of music his go-to music is the Rock and Roll of his youth.

"Greatest Hits USA" with Rick Williams
In 1969, Rick was bitten by the music bug by listening to Dan Ingram on WABC in New York at the age of 9. By 1972, he was starting to amass his record collection. (First Record was “Popcorn” by Hot Butter!) In his early teen years, his Rick and friends ran a Part 15 Radio Station in their neighborhood with the girls from the block singing our jingles. That’s how it all began, this is what it is today... Welcome to Greatest Hits USA!
