    Dennis King AKA DJ the DJ and his Island Time Radio shoew is on Sundays from 12 noon until 2 PM here on Surf 97.3 FM.

    Island Time radio is all about the music and laid back lifestyle of parrotheads and or trop rock fans. Jimmy Buffett started it ...all in the 70s, but this music has grown by leaps and bounds since. We showcase trop rock every week on the show.

    Larry Ravenswood was born in Chicago in the early 1960s, and practically from the point of birth , he had always had a happy ear for music, especially popular music. He remembers his mother playing Beatles records(and that means RECORDS ..VINYL!) when he was in the playpen. As the 60s became the 70s, Larry carried his enthusiasm for pop music into a whole new ecstacy: American Top 40. Not a week would go by where Larry wasn’t glued to his favorite radio program listening to Casey Kasem’s every word..it was “heavenly”!..

    Surprise, surprise. The FCC approved today the new FM signal for SURF 17, our Beach, Island and Sunshine Music station at Flagler Beach, FL. Whoo hoo! The new Surf 97.3 FM is coming soon!

    Some of our station staff recently got together to discuss some exciting changes on the way for the station. Watch and listen for "BIG" news coming soon!! Moving up, up and away on a major switch in frequency here in 2014. We will be bringing you the sounds of the surf, sand, sea and sunshine oldies to all of Flagler and online nationwide and abroad.
